About me
I am a self-driven individual who values clarity, perspective, purpose and the pursuit of meaningful impact. I take a deliberate approach to understanding systems, challenging assumptions, and shaping solutions that are necessary, effective and sustainable.
I believe that value is not only created, it is extended. The principle of paying it forward underpins how I think, engage, and contribute: building work that strengthens others, informs better decisions, and leaves a lasting foundation beyond the immediate outcome.
My dad was a community development champion. For nearly two (2) decades, he led various entities that worked with vast local communities to among others, boost resilient livelihoods. From my teenage years, I felt that I was doing my part to contribute within the community through registered entities such as the Kenya Redcross Society as a volunteer between 2002 & 2004, the Rotaract Club of Machakos between 2004 to 2005 and others such as Friends of projects Kenya between 2021 & 2022 and annual community service through a family group.
While on personal time, I enjoy late mornings, appreciate quiet time, enjoy salads, occasionally watch the World Rally Championship (WRC) with fans, travelling and recently, hiking.
Over the years, my work has engaged me in both routine and emergency operations, taking me into environments with various demands; progressing humanitarian emergencies, fast paced logistical demands, poor infrastructure, limited financial capacity and the responsibility is significant. I have seen how the strength, flexibility, adaptability and easy use of an organization’s systems directly shapes its impact.
These experiences have shaped how I approach my work today.
Financial systems is a leadership tool for among others, amplifying the core project value. One that brings clarity in uncertainty, strengthens accountability, and enables organizations to make decisions that are both responsible and sustainable. In complex environments, where resources must stretch further and expectations remain high, financial leadership becomes a stabilizing force.
My work sits at the intersection of finance, governance, risk, and partnerships. I support organizations in building systems that are not only compliant, but functional. Systems that connect funding to outcomes. Systems that allow teams to operate with confidence. Systems that do not rely on individuals to hold them together, but are structured to endure.
A significant part of my experience has been in setting up and strengthening operations in high-pressure contexts. These moments have reinforced a critical lesson. Speed is often prioritized, but structure determines sustainability. The organizations that succeed over time are those that embed clarity, accountability, and risk awareness from the very beginning.
I have worked across diverse contexts and geographies, supporting organizations through the full program lifecycle. From proposal development and operational start-up, to financial oversight, risk management, consortium coordination, and audit readiness. This breadth of experience has given me a holistic perspective, allowing me to see not only individual functions, but how they connect to shape overall performance.
At the core of my work is a commitment to strengthening systems in a way that enables both people and organizations to thrive. I believe that strong systems do not limit teams. They empower them. They create the structure needed for better decision-making, clearer accountability, and more meaningful impact.
This is guided by a principle that continues to shape my approach. Pay It Forward.
Experience becomes valuable when it is translated into systems, structures, and knowledge that outlast individual roles. Whether through advisory work, capacity building, or collaboration, my focus is on contributing to organizations in a way that leaves them stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for the future.
Today, I work with organizations and leadership teams seeking to strengthen financial stewardship, build effective governance structures, manage risk intelligently, and navigate complex funding and partnership environments.
The work is often complex. The environments are often demanding.
But the objective remains clear.
To build systems that sustain impact, protect trust, and enable organizations to deliver with clarity, confidence, and accountability.
Let’s work together
If you are looking to establish systems for a new office, strengthen or test your financial systems, refine governance structures, set up a risk matrix, generate financial criteria for high value procurements or navigate complexity with greater clarity, I welcome the opportunity to connect.
Together, we can build systems that not only support your work today, but sustain it into the future.
